Here we will cover about Keywords Research on SEO at beginner level.

I will deliver it in easy to understand terms so you can learn and understand easily.

What is Keyword Research?

As all of us know that visitor on google type keywords to search for the items they want. For example if anyone want to search about 'shoes' he will type it in the google or any other search engine like bing, yahoo, etc. and search engine try to give most relevant results to that visitor. So as a SEO we have to search keywords that best suits the website/post/article. 

So this process of finding best suitable keywords for website/post/article is known as Keyword Research.

Importance of Keyword Research:

It is the most important and valuable activity in SEO. Most of the SEO professionals start doing SEO with it. For beginners, its also helpful to start with it because it is easy to learn and understand. Though, its easy but very crucial. Searching of keywords can make or break your website ranking. Bad keywords can totally let your website ranking down. So its very important to do keyword research properly.

So, as discussed above, that visitors search items or services by typing certain keywords in search box. So, if we find the most demanding keywords or phrases related to our business we can rank website very high in google and can get more and more traffic.

So, main target of keyword research is to find the keywords related to your field that most people enter in the search box to find results. 

There are different tools and techniques to find the most demanding keywords so you can rank your website high.

Today my main target is to introduce you about keyword research. Once you cleared your concepts about it then you will be able to learn about tools and techniques used to find them.

We will cover them in depth in the separate post. Right now I am just naming 2 of them if you want to know about them right now you can search them in google yourself.

1. Google keyword Planner
2. SEMRush

 Types of Keywords:

Head Keywords: 

They are usually single-word keywords with huge amount of volume and competition.

For example someone searching for 'cars'. Because searcher's concern is all over the place(may be he want to search for family cars, sports car or any other). So they are not much useful.

I will personally advise you to not use single-word keywords. Because they are not much useful.

Body Keywords:

They consist of 2,3 words and have decent search volume. They are more specific and useful than head keywords. Keywords like 'sports car' are examples of body keywords. They are more specific than head keywords and have lesser competition. 

Long tail Keywords:

Long tail keywords consists of 4 or more words and are most specific. That's why they have less competition and cover less volume data. Keywords like 'Sports car with reasonable price'. 

I personally recommend you to use long tail keywords. They will be very useful for you. Because most of the people use long tail keywords to search.

2. Black hat SEO:

It comprises of techniques and methods which find weaknesses in algorithms of search engines and use them to obtain higher rankings.

Importance of SEO:

It is very important for everyone who want to earn in online world. If you think that you can survive in online world and can get high rankings without doing SEO. You are living in the dream world.
Even you have fresh & quality content  but if you don't SEO your website. You will not get higher rankings and visitors.

Why?

Because search engines give results which visitors need and search engine try to find results which are most relevant to the user queries. But if you don't SEO your website properly. Search engine will not find it and you will not get higher rankings & visitors. Because you know that you have fresh and quality content. Search engine is not a human. It have its own criteria. If you fulfill it you will get results. Otherwise you will be ignored, no matter how much quality content you have,

This was just an overview. You will know more and more as we move forward.

So now comes the most important question that you want to know that Ok! I am starting to learn SEO but why I am learning? Can I get something out of it in future or not?

So here is the answer of your question:

Future of SEO:

As we see now-a-days internet and online business,work,facilities and services increasing day by day and it will keep increasing in the future. So, as online business is increasing day by day. They will definitely need someone to get them higher rankings and get them more and more visitors because if they don't have visitors then why they work online.

So here is the answer to your question.

Don't worry ! You have secure future but if you have learning attitude. Because scope of SEO will increase in future but the techniques and strategies will change. You have to stay updated with latest techniques and strategies of search engines.

If we see the the techniques used few year before. They are totally changed. A person who have knowledge of these old techniques can't survive right now. Same will be the case in future. If you will not stay updated you will lose your value.

So SEO is for the people who have learning attitude.
